| The concept GURBER was, after some inspiration from RKL,
invented in december 1999 by
Alexandru Csete
in collaboration with
Niels Bassler as a small brick in a
Grand Design
launched by VP7.
GURBER's original
purpose was to avoid year 2000 chaos around
the world, that is, it was the inventors suggestion to how to
prevent year 2000 chaos. However after fullfilling it's mission between december 31st. 1999 and january 1st. 2000, GURBER turned out to be very usefull, because it had a cute way of confusing people. The inventors have decided therefore to keep on inveting new ways of implementing this interesting concept. So the formal definition of GURBER may be the following:
Remark that 3) follows automatically from 2). If you feel, that you have implemented GURBER in one way or another, feel free to apply for a GURBER certificate by filling out the "GURBER Certificate Application Form" which is currently NOT available. New implementations may not overlay with already existing implementation (see Classification).

| GURBER comes in
generations! Currently there are three generations available:
Generation 0,
I and II. The first
GURBER ever was the
Generation I
GURBER,
which actually is the
original invention! Later on the inventor realized, that a
previous construction fullfilled the definition of a
GURBER,
and because it was more primitive than
GURBER I it had to be
called GURBER 0. Here follows a list of the currently available GURBER generations and a short description of them:
