This page contains some information about software written by us, VP7. Our main fields of interest are physics and electronics, which is why most of the links are related to those subjects.

On the left you will find links to Open Source software written by others which we use in our daily development.

The software listed below (except DOS-Folmer) is written for Linux and is released under the GPL which means that we do not commit ourselves to give any support related to them. We will, however, try to answer any questions that may arise using or compiling them. Please read the individual disclaimers and copyright notices attached to each entry before suing us!

Stable version:0.9.12
Devel. version:0.9.13
Requires:gnome-libs, gnomeui-lib, gdk-pixbuf
Additional:gnome-print

Gnome Flow is a program written to calculate and visualize simple steady state fluid flows. It uses the relaxation method, and can calculate flows past symmetric objects. Steady state means, that it calculates the flow at a given time, and that the physical parameters are constant in time.

Stable version:0.0.1
Requires:gnome-libs, gnomeui-lib, gdk-pixbuf

Gnome Field will calculate the size of the electric field vector in a custom electrostatic charge distribution. The results are in arbitrary units and can not be used for quantitative science yet.
But the colors are nice.

Stable version:0.4.5
Requires:Gtk+

The VP7 Way Kool Project is the first official software by VP7. It is designed to simulate a laboratory experiment where the half life of radioactive nuclei can be measured using a Geiger-Müller detector and a counter. The counter is also able to show the activities of the nuclei and the user has the possibility to put various shields between the radioactive source and the counter. The program is still under development but is functional and stable.

Stable version:Geration I
Requires:Gtk+ and coffee

GURBER is a program that does not do anything usefull at all, on the contrary, it seems to confuse people a lot. Nevertheless, GURBER has its own fanclub now. GURBER's history is very unusual and weird. If you have a sense of humor and you want an unforgetable experience, try GURBER!

X Folmer is a GUI version of DOS FOLMER for the Linux (Unix) platform. Some nice functions are included in version 0.2.5.

Stable version:1.1
Requires:VGA

DOS Folmer is a nonsense program, just like GURBER,which has some potential to keep the user entertained for some time. DOS FOLMER was written in C and will work on most MS-DOS like platforms. We strongly recommend you running this program when you are suffering from insomnia, headache or serious acne.
